Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced methodical Market Research Analyst to survey customer segments and statistical data in support of sales and customers during their decision-making process regarding target markets, product definition, use cases and pricing. The successful market researcher has the ability to analyze autonomously qualitative and quantitative data, trends, strategies and competition aiming at increasing competitiveness and enable sales with tangible and actionable information.

Key Responsibilities/requirements:

  • Own the competitor analysis, find intel not in public domain and generally be super sleuth about competitor landscape
  • Scour press releases for intel and hidden meanings/learnings
  • Create target customer list – who we should go after/who we should not
  • Establish deeper intel on customer opportunities – what is really going on. Talks to analysts and other industry contacts/partners
  • Disseminated industry trends. Looks around corners. Tells us where to play offence or defense.
  • Collect data on market segments and verticals, competitors and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations
  • Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences and decision making criteria
  • Work with the product team to conduct net promotor score customer analysis
  • Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional collection methods
  • Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis
  • Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations
  • Use online market research and catalogue findings to databases
  • Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
  • Evaluate program methodology and key data to ensure that data on the releases are accurate and on target
  • Remain fully informed on market trends, third parties research and implement best practices


  • 5+ years of Statistics and / or Analytical Marketing experience
  • Experience working with SaaS product offerings
  • Proven market research analysis experience
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Polished presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of statistical software, databases and MS Office
  • Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen
  • Familiarity with CRM programs
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling and mining
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • BS degree in Statistics, Marketing or related field
  • Persistent in a professional manner
  • Highly motivated and driven
  • Experience in the media and entertainment industry
